Darkness Falls - Erin Kellison (Reveler #1)

Published Date: May 11, 2014
Genre: Fantasy/Romance
Synopsis: Agent Malcolm Rook hunts for people with the rarest of talents—the ability to master dreams. He finds the undeniably gifted Jordan Lane, but she’s wary of mysterious Rook and resists his pursuit as long as she can. When the dreamwaters they enter are too exhilarating to resist, their attraction explodes into passion. But delving too deep stirs a nightmare—one they must defeat together, or be forever lost to darkness.

Fans of paranormal romance and bad boys, get ready for a dark, sexy plunge into fantasy and desire. The Reveler Series is set in a contemporary world in which people can indulge in Rêve, or shared dreaming—a pop culture phenomenon sweeping the world. Imagine being able to fall asleep at night, only to wake in a dream world, one in which you are lucid and in control—where you can be anything you want to be and do anything you like. But you must be careful…dreaming can be as dangerous as it is seductive.

I'll be honest. I was a bit skeptical reading this book because I mean it has the cliché guy with a six pack and other chiseled abs. The ideal girl's dream. Or guy. Whichever way you swing. But personally, this book was one of the best that I have read. It was funny but the plot developed way to fast. I understand that this is like Inception meets hot guys who invade your dreams.

Like hello? Invasion of privacy? Just kidding. I can barely remember my dreams so I thought this was a pretty awesome idea. I mean, entering dreams. Meeting people. Doing whatever you dream of doing. Only downfall? You can fall into the deep abyss and never return because your nightmares are even more real now than ever.

Jordan, the protective sister. Never really thought about herself until it came down to Michael Rook or as known as Malcolm Rook now. You have to lie to gain people's trust. Kind of a weird way but the funny thing is, is that we all find ourselves in a situation where we have omit something from our lives. We all have a chapter that we don't want to tell.

I loved this book other than the plot developing way to fast but Erin Kellison surprised me with her writing. It wasn't overly graphic but it did go into my darkest fantasies. Just kidding. Like I said, it was hot and had the option of hot guys. I mean Malcolm and his friends all seem to make their way onto my book boyfriends list. So thank you much for that.

I am going to rate this book a 3 out of 5 stars and I do recommend this book to those that are into the hot and steamy romance as well as dark fantasies that just come to life.

Blog you later, awesome book nerds.
